Established in 1980 by tattoo industry legend, Les Bowen, Second Skin is Townsville’s longest-established tattoo studio – and one of the world’s most famous.

While Les works by appointment only to meet the high demand for his custom work, Dan, Harry, and Mia – trained by Les – work on both an appointment and walk-in basis.

With all Second Skin artists able to custom-design your tattoo, a plethora of awards in their stable, and almost four decades of happy clients continuing to return from all corners of the globe, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and chat to your friendly artist.

Setting the city’s standard for health and hygiene, Second Skin uses only single-use needles and autoclave-sterilized equipment.

All artists have completed microbiology courses, and hold all applicable licenses.
